LAUREN GREENFIELD

Lauren Greenfield is an American artist, documentary photographer, and documentary filmmaker. She has published four photographic monographs, directed four documentary features, produced four traveling exhibitions, and published in magazines throughout the world. One of her best works, in my opinion, is her film Generation Wealth, which was selected to be the opening night film at the Sundance Film Festival 2018 in the Documentary Premiere program. Greenfield also received a nomination for the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Documentary Screenplay at the 71st Writers Guild of America Awards for the film. 


The film shows truthful yet horrible ways people with wealth today act and treat other people and themselves. Greenfield was able to successful display how these people behave and live up to the idea of how money can go to your head. Greenfield’s film was honest and a great watch while also being infuriating to watch due to the families and people in that top percent.
